Photo 37.jpgStudents photographed themselves using photobooth on MACBOOK Pro and printed the pictures. Then, everyone used markers to highlight shapes they saw in their faces. The name of the shape was written in the corresponding color beside the picture. My lesson got videotaped and shown for the faculty meeting as an example of how to integrate technology. The thing is, in my opinion, the idea is just ok, it’s the resources that make such a big difference. Although, it is kind of hard to implement stuff like this with 5 year olds. I have been spending all my free time working on my lessons. I don’t really have any other kind of a life right now. I feel like I have to come up with phenomenal plans every week or I won’t be a good enough teacher. The parents are really intense. They always seem really concerned about what I am teaching and they use my lack of experience as a springboard for explorations in my own moral degradation. I love teaching and I am striving to work well with the parents but I feel like I am burying myself in work trying to prove myself to them. Obviously, I need to work on self-esteem.

I want to use this with my Kindergartners in the spring. I only have 2 computers in my classroom, though, and I have 16 students. I need to find out if I can get a donation for computers.
